Trump Lashed out at CNN Reporter For Asking Question On Epstein Files, "You Are The Worst Reporter"

Washington: During a press conference, US President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins. Collins had asked Trump about the Epstein files, prompting him to angrily respond, "I've known you for 10 years, and I've never seen you smile. You're a terrible person, the worst reporter, that's why your network has the worst ratings."

Kaitlan Collins herself shared a video of the entire incident on her X handle. She wrote with the video, "President Trump says the country should move on from the Epstein files. He lashed out when asked about the latest information released by the Justice Department." The video is now going viral on social media.

The incident occurred during a press conference at the White House. Trump was answering questions from the media when CNN's White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins, asked him a question related to the Jeffrey Epstein files. She asked if he was aware that the released documents included the names of Elon Musk and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Trump replied, "No, I have a lot of things to do. I don't know. You mentioned two names. I'm sure they're fine. Otherwise, there would be big headlines."

Collins then tried to ask Trump about the redactions in the released files. Trump deflected the question, saying that the country should focus on other things now. He added that nothing had come out about him, except that it was a conspiracy against him. Despite this, Collins continued to press him with questions about Epstein. At this point, Trump suddenly lost his temper and lashed out at her. 

The American president said, "You're terrible. You're the worst reporter. That's why CNN's ratings are so bad, because of people like you. You know, you're a young woman, and I've never seen you smile. I've known you for ten years, and I've never seen a smile on your face. Do you know why you're not smiling? Because you know you're not telling the truth."

Despite Trump's remarks, Kaitlan continued with her question, saying she was asking about victims of sexual assault. But Trump continued his attack, saying her organization was dishonest and that they should be ashamed of her.
