Case against Asaram Bapu, followers for beating scribe



New Delhi: Spiritual leader Asaram Bapu was in fresh trouble after he was booked for assault and loot case under Gopiganj Police Station of Bhadhoi district. According to reports,  a journalist was attacked and their equipment damaged by followers of Asaram Bapu. Supporters of the Asaram Bapu beat the scribe because he was filming the Godman arriving at the venue in a vehicle with a red beacon.
Angered over the attack on fellow reporter, the media community raised slogans against Asaram Bapu and also demanded for an FIR. An FIR has been lodged under Section 392, 323, 504, 506against Bapu and his half-a-dozen followers, police said.
