Palestinian photojournalist Rasmi Jihad Salem, who worked for the Manara Media Company, was killed by Israeli drone fire in Khan Younis. The attack took place on September 2, 2025, targeting Abu al-Amin Street near al-Jalaa Square in Gaza City.
Palestinian journalist Mohamad Al-Kuwaifi killed in Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip on September 15, 2025. He worked for Al-Aqsa TV and the Shihab and Safa news agencies. Kuwaifi was among two people killed when Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians on the roof of a house in the al-Nasr neighborhood in western Gaza City. His wife and two children were previously killed on July 3, 2024 in an Israeli strike on his apartment in Al-Tuffah neighborhood eastern Gaza city.
On September 28, 2025, a journalist named Rajeev Pratap's dead body was found in the Bhagirathi River, Uttarakhand. He had been missing since past ten days and he was reportedly known to be a freelancer journalist who was primarily involved in working on issues surrounding corruptions and government mis-managements.
Well-known Palestinian freelance photojournalist, Yahia Barzak, famous for his striking newborn portraits before October 7, 2023, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on September 30, 2025, in Deir al-Balah, Central Gaza. Before Israel’s military operation, the 34-year-old photojournalist owned Yahia Barzaq Studio, which was the only studio in Gaza specialising in newborn photography. He was forced to leave after Israeli bombardment and threats of displacement surfaced.
