Gaza: Israeli attacks on Gaza since the morning of Wednesday, January 21, 2026, have killed 11 Palestinians, including three journalists. The three killed journalists worked for a committee overseeing Egyptian aid in Gaza and were documenting a newly built camp.
Journalists Anas Ghunaim, Abdul Ra'ouf, and Shaath Mohammad Qeshta were filming a newly built displacement camp in central Gaza, near the so-called Netzarim Corridor. An Al Jazeera team at the scene reported that a fourth person was also killed in the attack.
Video footage showed their vehicle damaged by a roadside bomb, with smoke still billowing from the wreckage. The attack occurred about 5 km from Israeli-controlled territory, and the Israeli military knew the vehicle belonged to the Egyptian committee.

Reporters Without Borders said that Israeli forces killed at least 29 Palestinian journalists in Gaza between December 2024 and December 2025.
Nearly 220 journalists have died since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023, making Israel the biggest killer of journalists worldwide for three years running, RSF data shows.
