Builder Caught in Honeytrap, Blackmailed with Nude Video for Rs 10 Crore; Accused Newspaper Editor & Lady Arrested

The third accused, who is being described as the mastermind of this crime, has not yet been apprehended by the police.

Ahmedabad: A journalist and a woman allegedly conspired to trap a builder and blackmailed him with a nude video, demanding ₹10 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. They threatened to leak the video if he didn't pay. The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch has arrested Ashwin Chauhan, the editor of a local newspaper, and the accused woman, Sunita Rajput, in connection with this sensational case. Ashwin Chauhan is also the Vice-President of the Gujarat state unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Sunita Rajput aka Annie Rajput, who has studied up to the 12th grade, runs small businesses in the city, including nail art, mehndi, and imitation jewelry. According to the plan, Sunita honey-trapped a prominent builder in Ahmedabad. She then recorded a nude video of him using a hidden camera. Sunita then handed over the video clip to Ashwin Chauhan.

According to ACP Hardik Mankadia of the Cyber Crime Branch, newspaper editor Ashwin Chauhan sent the nude video to the builder and began blackmailing him. He demanded ₹10 crore from the builder, threatening to leak the video on social media.

Distressed by the continuous threats, the builder finally filed a complaint with the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch. The police laid a trap and arrested editor Ashwin Chauhan and Sunita Rajput. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.

According to the police, the real mastermind behind this entire conspiracy is a gym trainer named Bini Gill. Bini Gill is a close friend of Sunita and allegedly came up with the entire idea of using a hidden camera to record the video.
