Ice cascades turn scenic spot into fairyland in Beijing. Not so renowned as many ace national tourist attractions, a quiet valley in Beijing's southwestern suburb is taking advantage of winter cold and drawing visitors with its unique crystal cascades. At the entrance to the Shenquan Gorge scenic spot in Mentougou District, an arch shaped in an artificial cascade made of ice-covered vines overwhelms the visitors. Along with this artificial one, there is a natural ice cascade in deep mountains. On the way there, visitors are treated with an eye-catching view-that's floating water under ices.
