Amazing: Rare advection fog appears in Wanzhou District, southwest China.

Rare advection fog appears in southwest China.Advection fog hovered over the Yangtze River in Wanzhou District, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Sunday afternoon, turning the area into a fairyland. As the fog shrouded the river, it seemed that the vessels were sailing across a sea of cloud. The buildings along the river were partially hidden and partially visible in the fog.

Amazed by the spectacular view, local residents took photos on the river bank. "The fog is beautiful and the scenery is dreamlike," said a local resident. Advection fog usually occurs when warm and moist air passes over a land with lower temperatures, or water surface, and thus the fog forms.Meteorologists say the fog was caused by the rising temperature and humidity brought by recent rains.
