Winter storm leaves a path of snow in Midwest USA



Parts of the midwest were pounded by a December blizzard that made conditions difficult for drivers on December 6 In Grand Forks, North Dakota, the city has seen a foot (30 centimeters) of snow since last night.

City and private contractors were busy clearing away snow, while windy conditions created poor visibility on the highways.In Moorhead, Minnesota crews worked to clear the road after a semi jack-knifed, blocking traffic for more than an hour.

Authorities are warning motorists to slow down in the southwestern part of the state. Dozens of accidents are happening in several counties on intestates, as well as state roads. The weather and the accidents combined to snarl traffic.Snow in the region is expected to continue through the weekend.
