Peru Floods: More than 80 people have been killed and 110000 displaced.



In northern Peru, residents continue to be rescued by lifesavers after Piura River burst its banks flooding homes, amid Peru's worst flooding disaster in decades. More than 80 people have been killed and 110,000 displaced in rain-related incidents since December, most of them this month after a sudden warming of Pacific waters off Peru's coast unleashed torrential downpours in a damaging local El Nino phenomenon.
