Meeke remains atop timesheets at Rally Mexico



Briton Kris Meeke remained on track for his first victory of the new season after finishing the second day of gravel stages atop the WRC Rally Mexico timesheets March 11. The Citroen driver finished the day's nine stages to bring is leading time to 2 hours, 47 minutes, 33.3 seconds, just over 30 seconds better than second placed French M-Sport Ford driver Sebastien Ogier, who lost time to a spin out on SS13.

Thierry Neuville of France drove his Hyundai to a solid third place, 39.6 seconds back of Ogier but 1:02.1 ahead of fourth placed Estonian M-Sport Ford pilot Ott Tanak. Hyundai's Hayden Paddon sits in fifth place, 3:25.5 back of Meeke, with Finn Jari-Matti Latvala in the Toyota Yaris another minute and 7 seconds further adrift in sixth place. Just two stages are scheduled for the final day of Rally Mexico with a total of 54.9 kilometeres (34.1 miles).
