A three-year-old boy who was run over by a truck sustained no severe injuries in Anji County of east China's Zhejiang Province on Thursday. The frightening scene was captured by multiple surveillance cameras. A pedestrian was pushing a stroller across the road while the truck was heading towards the intersection. With a red light and multiple other vehicles crossing the intersection, the truck driver didn't notice until too late. The baby was hit and ended up underneath the truck.
The boy was taken from underneath the truck and given back to his mother. Luckily, he is currently in stable condition. According to the investigation by traffic police, the accident was caused by the truck
driver running the red light."The accident happened at about 13:50 in the afternoon. During our investigation, the driver said that he had not rested at noon and felt tired after over two hours of driving," said Wang Xianggen, a traffic police officer in Anji County. The driver who took full
responsibility for the accident was fined 150 yuan and given six demerit points for driving past the red traffic light.
